Hi, I have a windows 8 installed, my vpn client 5.0.0.7.440 authenticates and gets the ip address with no issue. Its connect to the network without any issues. But when i try to ping any network there is request timed out checking the traffic, it shows its bypassing the vpn tunnel. When the world moved to Windows 8, those would could not and would not move their legacy Cisco VPN software would have hit some problems while using VPN on their newer Windows 8 machines. This is because the legacy Cisco VPN-client is not supported under Windows 8 and as the client is EOL anounced, it probably will never be supported anymore. If you have Cisco VPN Client installed in Windows 8.1, you are likely receiving a 'Failed to Enable Virtual Adapter' error when trying to connect. This fix should resolve the issue.

- Select 'Run'. Type 'regedit' in the run window, and click 'ok'

- Click 'OK'.
It seems that the current Cisco VPN Client is not fully compatible with Windows 8.1. This fix should fix any issues.

I have also found that putting the executable vpnui in compatibility mode (windows 8) for all users works as well.
Last month encountered issue in VPN. it connects but can't access anything (windows 8.1Pro). i tried with Windows 7 it is perfectly fine. Hope somebody can help me!
